Promote Your School supported the Summer Reading Challenge in 2023.
The Summer Reading Challenge takes place annually during the school summer holidays. Schools and libraries work together to encourage pupils to read as many books as possible.
In return, children receive rewards and incentives to keep reading. In 2023, Promote Your School partnered with The Reading Agency to support the campaign. We donated a literacy Wall Art project as a prize for a random draw.
The Reading Agency offered the prize to all local library authorities across the UK. Bristol Libraries was the winning authority, and they were able to offer the prize to all Bristol based schools who took part in the challenge.

The School of Christ The King Catholic Primary won the literacy Wall Art project. Campaign organisers, The Reading Agency, connected them to the Promote Your School team so we could fulfil the project as per the terms of the competition.
We designed and installed bespoke literacy Wall Art at the school. The school wanted a design to celebrate the joy of reading and encourage pupils to read for pleasure. They wanted something that would appeal to younger readers and that was calm and not too busy, a design to create wonder and a buzz without being overstimulating at the same time. The school requested an imaginative, fantasy land feel full of characters and objects to spark curiosity such as creatures, pyramids, famous art and flying children.
Reading is magic
